RELEVANSI PEMIKIRAN TEOLOG KLASIK : IMAN DAN KUFUR BAGI PENGEMBANGAN MATERI AJAR AQIDAH AKHLAQ DALAM PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (PENELITIAN DI PPI 80 AL-AMIN)

This research is essential because modern Aqidah Akhlaq learning often falls into normative-practical approaches, requiring a solid, contextual, philosophical-theological foundation. This study aims to examine the relevance of classical theological thoughts al-Asy‘ari, al-Maturidi, Mu‘tazilah, and Murji’ah concerning the concepts of faith (iman) and infidelity (kufur) in Aqidah Akhlaq learning materials at PPI 80 Al-Amin. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, it combines field and literary research. The findings demonstrate that while classical theology is highly relevant to reinforcing moderate curriculum values, current implementation at PPI 80 Al-Amin lacks explicit integration and remains predominantly focused on basic character building. The novelty lies in the conceptual reconstruction bridging classical theology (turats) with modern pesantren curricula practically through contextual materials and participatory learning methods. The policy implication requires PPI 80 Al-Amin internal management and related authorities to reformulate curriculum content standards and enhance teachers' competencies based on deep turats understanding to ensure more meaningful learning for students.
