الملخص

Character education in the contemporary era is highly essential to proactively address the complex challenges of moral degradation and the increasingly massive negative impacts of globalization. In this regard, elementary schools hold a strategic role and responsibility in internalizing religious values within students. This study aims to analyze the role of routine Al-Qur'an tahfidz activities in shaping students' characters at MI Al-Muslimun Magetan. The research methodology employed is a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation during the PLP 2 activities. The results indicate that these activities significantly improve time management discipline, foster independence and a sense of responsibility, strengthen self-confidence through the talaqqi and murojaah methods, and instill noble character driven by intensive interaction and the teachers' exemplary conduct. The novelty of this research lies in a paradigm shift, where tahfidz is no longer positioned as a mere extracurricular activity but is fully integrated as the opening daily intracurricular activity. The policy implications urge elementary educational institutions to formulate regulations that establish structured tahfidz programs as a primary curriculum instrument for building students' holistic characters, rather than merely focusing on memorization.
