KOLABORASI GURU DAN ORANG TUA DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER SISWA SD MELALUI PENERAPAN NORMA

Education is the main factor driving multisectoral development in a country. Another worrying situation regarding Indonesian education is the issue of student morality, lack of work ethic, skills that are still low, the level of corruption which increases every year and the number of unemployment figures among intellectuals shows an increase from year to year. This research aims to analyze the collaboration system between teachers and parents in forming norm-based elementary school student characters, then provide policy recommendations to implement this idea. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with a literature study approach for data collection. The research results show that the norms adhered to by Indonesian society include religious norms, legal norms, moral norms and civility norms. Capitalizing on these norms, the government can create policies that collaborate between teachers and parents in order to shape the character of elementary school students, which is the initial milestone in the formation of the character of the nation's generation. Practically, parents tell anything related to norms that can provide life lessons for children, then the teachers at school follow up.
